Well, I don’t think many of us were expecting to see a face when we were checking out the severe weather threat today!
This is a completely real image from the National Weather Service for July 17th.
As is common with the severe weather outlooks from the NWS they become more refined as they get closer.
Below you can see yesterdays forecast.
You could see some of the same general concepts. The mouth and eyes were there, just needed a little more work.
