Multiple deaths have been reported from a tornado that tore through Iowa. So far 6 deaths are being attributed to the storm including 2 children. The tornado is estimated to be at least an EF-3 per the National Weather Service. Many others have been injured.
The long tracking tornado occurred near Winterset, Iowa around 4:30 CST.
Winterset is about 30 miles southwest of Des Moines.
The National Weather Service had predicted an enhanced risk of severe weather for many states today including Iowa. Scattered power outages are being reported in Iowa from poweroutage.us
